YOUR PRIVACY AT NEW HIGH EDUCATION
New High Education respects the privacy of every student, parent, teacher, administrator, Language Learner, and visitor who uses our website, NHE AI Tutor, NHE Language Learner, or related services.
This Privacy Policy explains the personal data we collect, why we use it, how we protect it, and the choices available to you. It applies to our curriculum-learning services and our language-learning services. We process personal data in accordance with applicable law, including Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
Please read this Policy carefully. By using our services or submitting an application, you acknowledge this Policy. Where consent is required, we will ask for it at the appropriate point. If you do not agree, please do not submit personal data or use the relevant service.
We do not sell personal data. We use it only for lawful education, administration, communication, security, and service-improvement purposes, and take additional care with children and student records.

2. Services Covered by This Policy
This Policy covers newhigheducation.com, newhigheducation.app, NHE AI Tutor, NHE Language Learner, registration and login flows, student, parent, teacher, administrator, and Language Learner portals, AI-assisted learning, generated audio, pronunciation and speech-practice feedback, downloadable learning materials, subscriptions, support, and related communications.
Our services may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
3. Personal Data We Collect
We collect data that you provide directly, data created when you use the services, and limited technical data needed to operate and secure the platform.
For students, parents, teachers, and administrators, this may include your name, email address, mobile number, account or school identifiers, role, school, programme, class or level, subjects, parent or guardian relationship details, registration information, and account approval status.
For Language Learners, this may include your name, email address, mobile number, country, language you want to learn, native or explanation language, learner level, learning goal, selected subscription plan, marketing source, application note, account approval status, payment status, and the fact that the selected learning language is locked for the relevant subscription.
When you use NHE AI Tutor or NHE Language Learner, we may collect learning inputs and outputs such as questions, prompts, written responses, lesson choices, learning-path activity, exercises, vocabulary requests, teacher or AI responses, generated audio requests, downloads, placement responses, feedback, and progress history.
For Language Learner speech-practice features, we process the target text and the transcript you provide or submit for scoring, together with resulting scores, corrections, feedback, and practice drills. Do not include sensitive personal information in learning prompts, exercises, or transcripts unless it is necessary for your request.
We also collect limited technical and security information, which may include IP address, device and browser type, operating system, login and account events, pages and features used, usage counters, error reports, and performance logs.
4. Subscription, Trial, and Usage-Allowance Data
NHE Language Learner offers a free seven-day trial and paid Plus and Pro plans. We collect your selected plan, billing cycle, subscription state, payment or approval status, renewal information, and records needed to administer access.
We record usage of plan-controlled features, including AI coaching, generated audio lessons, speech or pronunciation scoring, and vocabulary downloads. We use these records to apply the relevant daily trial allowance or monthly plan allowance, prevent misuse, resolve support requests, and keep the service reliable for all learners.
Where a payment is made through Mobile Money or another approved provider, we may keep the payment reference, amount, status, and related account information needed to confirm access and maintain records. We do not intentionally store full payment credentials on our own servers.
5. How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data to create and administer accounts; verify and approve registrations; provide learning services; personalise lessons and language support; deliver AI responses, generated audio, pronunciation feedback, vocabulary materials, and learning records; administer trials, subscriptions, renewals, and access limits; provide customer support; send service and security messages; maintain records; improve the safety, quality, accessibility, and performance of our services; and detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorised access, or other harmful activity.
We may send educational or service updates. We send direct marketing only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You can opt out of marketing at any time. Service, security, payment, and account messages may still be sent where necessary.
5.1 Product Analytics and Privacy Controls
We use first-party product analytics to measure aggregate service conversion and engagement, including registrations submitted, approvals, first completed Language Learner lessons, paid subscription activations, and aggregate use of AI coaching, audio lessons, speech scoring, and vocabulary downloads.
These analytics records contain only a daily count, product name, funnel event, broad plan category, and feature category. They do not contain names, email addresses, phone numbers, account IDs, IP addresses, device identifiers, browser data, lesson prompts, lesson outputs, or free-text notes. We do not use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioural tracking for this product analytics.
Only Super Admin users can view the aggregate report or pause collection. When collection is paused, new product analytics events are not recorded. Aggregate records are retained for up to 90 days and then removed. Product analytics is kept separate from learning, account, payment, and operational records.
6. Legal Grounds for Processing
We process personal data when you have given consent, when it is necessary to provide the service or manage your account, when it is necessary for our legitimate educational, administrative, security, or operational interests, when it is needed to comply with a legal obligation, or when it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or interests of users, New High Education, or the public.
If consent is our basis for a particular activity, you may withdraw it, subject to processing already carried out and any legal basis that allows us to retain or continue processing certain data. Withdrawing consent may mean that a feature or service can no longer be provided.
7. Children, Students, and Parents
Education services may be used by children and students. We collect and use their information only for educational, account-management, safety, administrative, and related lawful purposes. We do not sell student or child data and do not use it for unrelated advertising.
Where a learner is not old enough to provide independent consent, we may require the involvement or approval of a parent, guardian, school authority, or authorised administrator. Parents and guardians may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of their child's data, subject to identity and authority checks and applicable legal or educational record requirements.
8. AI, Audio, and Language-Learning Features
Our AI-assisted features use learning inputs to produce educational responses, language coaching, lesson content, audio, speech-practice feedback, and related materials. AI responses are learning support and do not replace a teacher, qualified language professional, official examination guidance, or professional advice.
We may use carefully selected AI, text-to-speech, cloud, storage, and related technology providers to operate these features. They may process the information needed to generate a requested result on our behalf or under their own applicable service terms. We limit access to authorised systems and personnel where reasonably possible.
Generated audio and downloadable learning resources may be stored so that they can be delivered to you, made available in your account, or supported when you contact us. You should not use another person's personal information, voice data, or confidential information in prompts or language activities without permission.
9. How We Share Data
We do not sell personal data.
We may share personal data only when necessary and lawful, including with authorised New High Education staff, teachers, administrators, and support personnel; cloud hosting, database, storage, and security providers; AI and text-to-speech providers; email, SMS, or messaging providers; payment-processing or payment-confirmation providers; analytics and performance-monitoring providers; professional advisers; and public authorities, regulators, or law-enforcement bodies where required or permitted by law.
Service providers may process personal data only to provide the relevant service to us or to you and subject to appropriate contractual, technical, or organisational safeguards where applicable. We may use anonymised or aggregated information to understand learning patterns, usage, traffic, and performance. Aggregated information does not identify you personally.
10. International Transfers and Storage
We may use trusted providers that store or process data in Ghana or in other countries. When personal data is transferred outside Ghana, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected in a secure and lawful manner, including through appropriate provider safeguards.
11. How Long We Keep Data
We retain personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide the service, maintain educational or administrative records, administer subscriptions, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, meet legal obligations, protect security, or improve the service.
When data is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, or securely archive it. Some records may be retained where required by law or needed to protect legal rights.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures may include authenticated access, role-based permissions, restricted administrative access, secure hosting and cloud infrastructure, encryption where appropriate, security monitoring, logging, and regular review of controls.
No online service can guarantee complete security. Keep your password and account details confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
13. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm how we process your data; request access to personal data we hold; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; request deletion where appropriate; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of direct marketing; request review of a significant decision made solely by automated processing; or raise a privacy concern or complaint.
To exercise a right, email admin@newhigheducation.app with enough information for us to identify your account and request. We may need to verify your identity and, for student accounts, the authority of a parent, guardian, school official, or administrator before acting.
You may also complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana if you believe your personal data has been handled unlawfully.
14. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website and apps working, secure accounts, remember preferences, understand feature use, detect errors, and improve performance. Some are essential and cannot reasonably be disabled without affecting the service. Others may be optional.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent parts of the website or apps from working correctly. Third-party services may use their own cookies or similar technologies; please review their policies where relevant.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. Where a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
16. Contact and Complaints
For questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact New High Education at admin@newhigheducation.app or (+233) 500 390 326.
